History
The Corn-Fed Caddis lives up to its name — this is a linebacker at ballet class. Where most CDC patterns are sparse and delicate, the Corn-Fed is heavy-winged, with stacked CDC topped by a Trigger Point poly-yarn overwing for extra float. The CDC fibers even serve as the hackle. It is a buggy, visible, and durable dry that handles the weight of a tungsten dropper without submarining. Throw it at spring-creek browns, pocket-water rainbows, or suspicious freestone risers — it all works.
Fishing tips
Do NOT use traditional floatants. Tiemco Dry Magic, Loon Lochsa, Shimizaki Dry Shake, Loon Top Ride, or Frogs Fanny all work well.
