New York State fishing license required. The East Branch is managed as a year-round trout fishery below Pepacton Dam. Catch-and-release only with artificial lures only directly below the dam — check current NYSDEC regulations for exact boundaries. Standard New York trout regulations apply further downstream. Check current Pepacton release rates (Delaware River Master) before fishing. Portions near the reservoir are within the NYC watershed protection zone and may have additional access restrictions.
