Regs — check current rules before you go

Michigan fishing license required. Trout season opens last Saturday of April through September 30 for resident trout. Steelhead and salmon have separate seasons — check Michigan DNR regulations annually. Designated no-kill trout stretch below Croton Dam. Croton Dam pool closed to fishing December 1 through last Friday before opener to protect spawning fish.
