Regs — check current rules before you go
Idaho fishing license required. South Fork Snake River tributaries (IDFG 2025-2027): no harvest of Cutthroat Trout; no limit on Rainbow Trout or trout hybrids; June 1 through June 30 closed to fishing. Caribou-Targhee National Forest Palisades Creek Campground page (updated June 30, 2026) also states the creek is closed to fishing April 1 to June 30. Follow posted signs. Verify current IDFG rules before fishing.
