A valid Georgia fishing license and trout stamp are required for anglers 16 and older. The Toccoa River tailwater is managed by Georgia DNR under special trout regulations; designated trophy trout sections with artificial lures only and slot or size limits may be in effect — consult current Georgia DNR Fishing Regulations for exact boundaries and rules. Some sections flow through private property; respect all posted land. Public fishing areas are marked. Blue Ridge Dam releases can cause rapid water level fluctuations; check Georgia Power / Duke Energy release schedules before wading.
