Regs — check current rules before you go
All trout catch-and-release only on the entire Metolius River. Fly fishing only above the Highway 99 bridge (upper section). Bull trout are federally threatened — release immediately and carefully. Section from cable car crossing to downstream markers is closed to all angling. Check current ODFW regulations for any seasonal closures and exact boundary markers before fishing.
