Michigan fishing license required. Season opens last Saturday of April through September 30 for trout. Steelhead and salmon special seasons apply — consult Michigan DNR. Two-Hearted River is Category 4 Special Regulations in several sections: flies and artificial lures only, size and bag limits vary by section. Rivermouth area has separate regulations for migratory species.
