Scott Fly Rod Company was founded by Harry Wilson in 1974 in San Francisco and has been based in Montrose, Colorado since 1995. Every Scott fly rod is designed, built, and assembled in Montrose, with the company maintaining vertical integration from blank rolling to final wrap.

Scott is privately owned and known for a lineup that spans freshwater single-hand, saltwater, and Spey rods. The brand is widely carried in destination fly shops across the American West and has long been a fixture on western trout streams.
