R.L. Winston Rod Company, commonly known simply as Winston, was founded in 1929 in San Francisco and relocated to Twin Bridges, Montana in 1976. Winston rods are built by hand in Twin Bridges, with a long-standing reputation for smooth, progressive actions preferred by dry-fly and presentation-focused anglers.

Winston is privately held and continues to source boron and graphite blanks built on-site in Montana. The brand's lineup spans freshwater trout rods, saltwater rods, and Spey rods, with a small-batch, craftsman-oriented production approach.
