Blacksmith Fork runs through Blacksmith Fork Canyon in Cache County, one of northern Utah's well-known small trout streams, upstream of Porcupine Reservoir near Hyrum. Highway 101 follows the canyon, giving roadside access to most of the fishable water.
Brown and rainbow trout hold in pocket water and short runs through this limestone canyon. The stream stays cold through summer on spring and snowmelt inflow from the Bear River Range.
