Missouri State Park parking and river access at Sinking Creek. Barren Fork's Blue Ribbon water ends at this confluence. Stay on park and MDC public land.
Missouri Department of Conservation Blue Ribbon Trout Area, County Road A-D to Sinking Creek (3.2 miles), Shannon County. Flies and artificial lures only. Soft plastic, natural, and scented baits are prohibited when fishing for any species. Daily limit 1 trout, minimum 18 inches. Gigging, bowfishing, and atlatls prohibited; fish taken by those methods may not be possessed on these waters or their banks. Porous-soled waders prohibited in Shannon County. Missouri fishing permit required; trout permit required to keep trout. Confirm the current MDC Wildlife Code and special waterbody proclamation before fishing.

The fish are wild rainbow trout in a small spring creek. Public water is on Sunklands Conservation Area. County Road A-D is the upstream line. Echo Bluff State Park sits at the Sinking Creek confluence. Midges cover winter. Little black stoneflies hatch in March. Caddis and sulphurs show in May. Ants and hoppers take over after June. Confirm the current MDC Wildlife Code before you fish.
