Mill Creek flows through the Mark Twain National Forest and Bohigian Conservation Area south of Interstate 44 between Fort Leonard Wood and Rolla, Missouri. Missouri Department of Conservation manages this stretch as a Blue Ribbon Trout Area holding wild rainbow trout, fed by Wilkins and Yelton Springs.
This is small, tight water. Most fish run seven to ten inches with occasional trout to fourteen inches or better. Tight brush and narrow casting lanes reward a stealthy, close approach over distance casting. The creek joins Little Piney Creek downstream.
Access the Bohigian Access off Highway AA, or the Mill Creek Recreation Area picnic site off County Road 7550, both reached via Highway T through Newburg.
