Little Piney Creek runs through the Mark Twain National Forest in Phelps County, joining the Gasconade River system. Missouri Department of Conservation manages portions of this stream for trout, fed by cold spring inflow including Yelton and Wilkins Springs near its confluence with Mill Creek.
This is classic small Ozark creek water: brushy banks, tight casting lanes, and a mix of stocked and wild rainbow trout depending on the reach and season. USGS gauges near Yancy Mills and Newburg track flow through the managed water.
Access is mostly through Mark Twain National Forest land off Highway T and Highway P near Newburg; check current USFS signage for public parking and stream access.
