Greys River proper from Corral Creek downstream to Murphy Creek Bridge in Lincoln County: artificial flies and lures only (Wyoming Game and Fish Area 1 regulations, updated January 7, 2026). Live baitfish are prohibited in Area 1. Verify current WGFD rules before fishing.

The Greys River runs about 50 miles north through the Wyoming Range and meets the Snake near Alpine, just above Palisades Reservoir. Bridger-Teton National Forest Road 10138 (Greys River Road) follows the river for most of that length.

Rainbow, brown, brook trout, and mountain whitefish are also present. Wyoming Game and Fish Area 1 stream limits apply: three trout, no more than one over 16 inches, and no more than one cutthroat over 12 inches, unless a special rule says otherwise.
From Corral Creek downstream to Murphy Creek Bridge, fishing is artificial flies and lures only. Murphy Creek Campground (USFS 43.073667, -110.836057) and Lynx Creek Campground Day Use (USFS 43.097096, -110.845964) sit on that lower corridor. Best fishing is after runoff, typically late June through September.
