Utah fishing license required. Verify current Utah Division of Wildlife Resources regulations for Huntington Creek before fishing, since rules can differ between the Left Fork, Right Fork, and lower main stem. Manti-La Sal National Forest borders much of the upper drainage.
Huntington Creek drains the Wasatch Plateau through Manti-La Sal National Forest, with Left Fork and Right Fork branches joining above the town of Huntington in Emery County. Highway 31 follows much of the main canyon, giving roadside access to both forks and the water below their confluence.
Brown and rainbow trout hold in this freestone canyon stream, colder and rockier in the forks above the confluence and slower through the valley floor below Huntington. This is one of the more heavily fished small streams in the Wasatch Plateau given its easy highway access.
